This indigenous woman in her mid 30's has one son at school and a partner. This family have relocated from interstate and are trying to establish a new life in a new town and state. Unfortunately, a discrepancy in their Centrelink payment continues to leave this family short of funds each fortnight. They receive a Jobseeker Payment and continue to argue with Centrelink but it is a long drawn out process. In the meantime, they have no washing machine and their refrigerator is in bad working order. There is no capacity to afford these basic items whilst they are struggling to purchase food, clothing, fuel and basic necessities.
