Blackwood Youth Action Inc (BYA) is a charitable institution that has been supporting at-risk and marginalised young people in the Shires of Boyup Brook, Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Nannup and Manjimup since 2015.
BYA is the leading provider of youth mental health services and support to at-risk young people across social, emotional, educational and psychological domains in the Warren Blackwood region. BYA has a proven track record of responsive, pro-active and effective service delivery. The organisation has authentic longstanding connections across the community services, health and education sectors in the Warren Blackwood. BYA currently provides mental health and AOD awareness raising and education throughout all seven high schools in the region. BYA provides services that are evidence-informed; developmentally, socially and culturally appropriate; and responsive to all levels of need (ie. awareness raising, education, early intervention, treatment and referral).

BlazeAid Macksville

BLAZEAID is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and is a volunteer-based organisation that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods. Working alongside the rural families, our volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed.

Equally important, volunteers also help to lift the spirits of people who are often facing their second or third flood event after years of drought, or devastating losses through bushfires. BlazeAid volunteers work in a disaster-affected area for many months, not only helping individuals and families, but also helping rebuild the local communities.

Bloomhill Cancer Care

Bloomhill Cancer Care supports people of all ages on the Sunshine Coast to live well with cancer. Operated by a team of dedicated staff and hundreds of volunteers. Bloomhill provides ongoing support and services to patients undergoing a cancer diagnosis, as well as supporting family members. With no ongoing government funding, the charity relies on donations, fundraising and income from the Bloomhill Op Shops and the management of the Cotton Tree Markets to continue providing its valuable services.

The Tiny Treasures project facilitates the provision of pre-loved and new books to remote area primary school-age children in Australia. Tiny Treasures seek and collect donations of children's picture books throughout the year and re-distributes the books to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities nationally.

In 2016 the Tiny Treasures project collected and distributed over 700 children's books to the Tiwi Islands; Bathurst and Melville Islands. We have established an ongoing partnership with the Tiwi Aboriginal community who are grateful for the assistance the Tiny Treasures project has provided.
In 2019, Tiny Treasures delivered 1000 books to Cherbourg Shire Council in Central Queensland who added them to their Indigenous Learning Centre, to enable access for families to take home and read to their children
In 2020, 800 books were sent to Castlemaine community Centre in central Victoria, for use as components of education packs to be sent to families across the region

Botany Family and Children's Centre Inc

Botany Family & Children's Centre is a non for profit, family support service, working with and for our community for over 45 years. We provide FREE services to the community, these include: counselling, case work, advocacy, referrals, children's supported playgroups, parenting programs, father's groups, domestic violence support, separation issues, same page parenting, early intervention and prevention.
