Every publicly donated dollar received by GIVIT goes toward purchasing vital goods and services for bushfire-affected individuals. Wherever possible, these purchases are made locally to help communities recover economically.

GIVIT offers the most effective way to donate goods that are genuinely needed. This approach prevents the challenges caused by unrequested donations.

Browse the current list of required Victoria bushfire relief donations to find a request where physical items are appropriate and click ‘give item’ to donate that specific item.

If you have items not listed, you can offer them through our Online Warehouse. Registered charities will review and claim what they need, and you’ll be connected with them. Please note that some items may not be required immediately.

Any time is the best time to donate to GIVIT! Your donation will enable GIVIT to provide essential items or services for a bushfire victim.

In the early stages, your support might provide a grocery voucher for a family staying in temporary accommodation.

In the medium term, it could mean replacing books or toys for a child who lost everything.
And in the long term, your generosity might help purchase essential appliances like a fridge or washing machine for a family returning to their rebuilt home.

Recovering from a bushfire is a lengthy process. GIVIT continues to receive requests from recovery organisations assisting people who lost homes during the 2019/2020 Black Summer Bushfires. When disaster strikes, GIVIT stays involved until help is no longer needed. Your bushfire appeal donation ensures we can deliver exactly what’s required at every stage of recovery.

To access donated items or vouchers through GIVIT, you’ll need to connect with a local organisation involved in disaster recovery. They will assess your situation and, if appropriate, submit requests on your behalf via GIVIT.
