Seeking support for a strong, resilient Aboriginal woman with a toddler who has escaped extreme domestic and family violence. She is a resourceful woman who has previously had a successful life and career and has lost everything after this abusive relationship. Her ex took everything (furniture etc.) and given his current networks and associations with other criminal activity, she does not feel safe to pursue it. She has no family around and has just moved into a property in a new region. She is hoping to get a tenant to assist with the rent and wants to find work. However her son has complex health challenges and gets sick all the time and needs his adenoids removed first and then she can sort out childcare. We are seeking support for her to manage expenses for the next few months so she can just get on her feet and establish herself in this new property and not be at risk of homelessness. We are confident this woman will only need support short-term.
