Community Member is an old First nations woman living in public housing unit. Prior to that she was in an abusive relationship and a victim of domestic violence. She left the relationship when her 10-yr old daughter also became a victim of abuse. Her daughter is now in the protective custody of her mother and extended family NSW, and she lives in Qld as her ex-partner is currently in jail. My client is not formally educated and has trouble with both reading and writing and existed on a disability support pension. Health wise she is a type 2 diabetics and takes insulin once a week needle. She does not have family supports here in Qld. Her bed was a hand me down on its last legs and also her donated fridge has lost its seals and cockroaches now freely roam inside the fridge. Her last phone was a secondhand phone, and the screen is damaged and no longer works. It there is any assistance for this community member it any way it would be greatly appreciated.
