A disabled man and his partner evacuated from the January fires and were displaced for one month. Ther man's disability prevented him from grabbing essentials and was unable to salvage his phone which perished in the blaze when it fell out of s hands during the sudden evacuation. The man and his partner severely depleted their savings accounts covering for food and clothing in the evacuation period. The residents are on limited income via disability support payments and is unable to recoup his lost phone and other expenses, some voucher support would greatly assist him to get back in his feet slowly.
