Our service is supporting a 43 year old Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman to access the community whilst experiencing an extended period of homelessness and instability. The woman lives with complex mental health and physical health conditions that require support. She has significant medical issues involving clots in her lungs and a serious infection after severe pneumonia. She is a survivor of complex trauma - including Family and Domestic Violence, institutional abuse and discrimination. This has been compounded by the recent sudden death of her baby brother. She needs to access the community for multiple appointments and to maintain connection with her supports her family, nieces and nephews.
