This gentleman’s wife died a couple of years ago. Since her death, he has experienced financial romance scams and become socially isolated from family. He relies on the aged care pension as his main income and pays almost all of that on accommodation, leaving very little for food, transport or other items. He also lives with severe physical ill health and requires medical attention in the community and at major hospitals (he lives regionally, so must travel). He would benefit greatly from vouchers to assist with grocery purchases.
