This family lost both their home and business in the fire, including destruction of all their home contents and the equipment necessary for the business to operate. The family were insured, but unfortunately the insured amount was significantly inadequate to cover their losses. Financial losses have also been ongoing with the loss of the business.
The family have been approved to receive a temporary modular unit through Homes Victoria and will be moving in in the coming weeks. Given the space limitations of the unit, the furniture and whitegoods that they have obtained since the fire are too large, so appropriately sized furnishings are required.
