Dad and his 4 children spent months couch surfing in overcrowded accommodation with relatives after they had escaped DV. All the children are now in Dad's care fulltime, and we have found him transitional accommodation for up to twelve months while we find their forever home. Money is tight after having to move into this property and get the kids all ready for school etc. He is a very humble man and hates to ask for anything feeling shame. His main priority now is the kid's safety and keeping a roof over their head, clothed and fed. When I visited my client the other day the 2nd hand fridge he'd bought after losing his other fridge and all the food in it (during power outages with Cyclone Alfred) is also just about to die. I will also try and add a large fridge/freezer into the request list.
