The client is a 20-year-old single mother of two young children. She has a complex range of personal and social circumstances, including ongoing mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, and a history of traumatic brain injury (TBI). She is currently couch surfing and does not have stable accommodation, which further impacts her ability to maintain stability in her day-to-day life. The client is originally from South Australia and has limited family and social supports in the area, with few friends or family members available to assist her.
The client is currently engaged with CPFS services and is working towards having her children returned to her care. She has also recently learned that her mother has been diagnosed with stage four cancer, which has had a significant emotional impact on her and has added to the challenges she is currently experiencing.
