A sole parent (mother) who has recently fled DFV relocated with her four children into a tenancy with a local housing provider. The family are engaged with a DFV service who are safety planning and installing security cameras to their property.
Mum lives with an intellectual disability and additionally experiences MH challenges which have impacted her ability to seek employment.
One of her children experiences seizures which is being explored by a neurologist.
The budget is tight and maintaining the tenancy is priority for family functioning and
ongoing stability.
Her children enjoy school and Mum is supportive of their education, always ensuring their attendance. Support with financial aid to purchase school shoes for two of her school aged children would take some financial burden from the family and be gratefully accepted.
