Mum and her 5 children who have experienced Domestic and Family Violence by Dad. Mum and children live in a private rental but are experiencing financial hardship. Due to the family being New Zealand Citizens this impact on access to some supports such as Centrelink payments. Mum is on limited income due to needing to leave her job as 2 of her children disclosed sexual abuse and she needed to support them to access appropriate supports, ensure their safety and be more present at home. Mum is very proactive and explores any suggestions or support provided. Mum continues to try to gain employment a current barrier is her experience of systems abuse which is impacting her ability to gain employment in her desired field, which is where she has experience, despite this she continues to try. Due to the stress of finances this is impacting on household relationships, sustaining tenancy, routines and household maintenance.
