Dear everyone,
I'm here on behalf of my client, a 57-year-old woman who came to Australia after fleeing the impacts of war in her home country.
She currently lives in Arundel with her daughter and son. Due to significant language barriers, she has very limited connection with others in the community. She experiences social isolation, and ongoing challenges with her mental wellbeing, including stress and low mood.
My client shared that she has a strong passion for sewing. Sewing has always been a meaningful hobby for her, bringing her joy. She hopes to make clothes and small sewing items for her family, while also using sewing as a way to stay engaged, build confidence, and improve her wellbeing.
Unfortunately, due to financial hardship, she is unable to afford a sewing machine. If you have a sewing machine that is no longer being used and would be willing to donate it, we would be grateful. Your generosity could make a meaningful difference in this woman's life. Thank you so much.
