Single mum with twins (who both have additional needs) moving into a rental after experiencing long term homelessness
GIVIT
Single mother with 13 year old twins who both have additional learnoing and developmental needs including ASD. The family have experienced homelessness for over 12 months and have been residing in motel accomodation and have very few belongings due to having to move between temporary accomodation frequently.
The family have been impacted by substance misuse and the children have both spent time in temporary care with extended family, causing trauma.
Mum is working hard to get her life back on track and has secured a permanent rental for herself and the children, which will be a place to call home. The family is starting from scratch in furnishing their rental property and need to source these items as quickly as possible, in preparation for their move in date, next week.
