For people with intellectual disabilities and heightened neurodiversity, being overwhelmed by their physical environment can prevent them from participating in activities they would like to enjoy. We are looking to get three marquees (white) with side walls that we can create on-site sensitive spaces when we take trips to sporting grounds or other outdoor activities. These will ensure that our community of people with disabilities we support will have a safe and secure environment to reset if required. The marquees are from Big W and are $315 each complete with the required walls, we are looking for three which will total $945.

Support people with disabilities in outdoor activities
GIVIT
Our organisation employs over 400 people with disabilities from Melbourne's South East, helping improve financial independence and build skills to help them in not only their careers but in life. 90% of our supported employees have intellectual disabilities. and we strive to co-collaborate with our team to ensure that the bespoke needs of our team are met to help them thrive. For anyone touched by disability, you will understand the importance of providing people with equal opportunities. We fundraise to supplement our supported employees commercial business so we can offer training, programs and create special activities that promote inclusion and community.
Our workmates range in age from 18 year old school leavers, to mature people in their 60s. Despite best intentions, there are limited opportunities for people with disabilities to work in open employment due to a general lack of understanding. We actively support our team in sourcing opportunities for them in a variety of roles.
