Mixed Linen

We are seeking donations of essential bedding and linen items, including swags, tents, bed sets, blankets, pillows, and doonas, to support individuals and families in rural East Gippsland experiencing hardship and housing instability. Ongoing cost-of-living pressures, combined with a shortage of affordable housing and limited crisis accommodation options, have resulted in more people living in temporary, overcrowded, or insecure conditions. In some cases, individuals are camping or sleeping in vehicles due to a lack of alternative options. Access to basic bedding and sleeping equipment is critical for safety, warmth, and overall wellbeing—particularly during colder months. However, these items are often unaffordable for people already struggling to meet essential living costs, and local service limitations mean there are few avenues to access them quickly. Donations of swags and tents provide immediate support for those without safe shelter, while bedding such as blankets, pillows, and doonas help people establish or maintain a functional and comfortable sleeping environment when transitioning into accommodation. These items will be distributed directly to vulnerable community members, including people experiencing homelessness, families escaping crisis situations, and those setting up or re-establishing a home.
