A 44-year-old woman is urgently seeking support while living in transitional housing that is due to be demolished within 10 months. The uncertainty of having to renew her lease every three months has added significant stress to an already difficult situation. She is living in unsafe conditions, including a severe bug infestation that recently resulted in an emergency hospital visit due to multiple bites. Her unit also has ongoing plumbing issues, with the bathroom flooding whenever it is used, and electrical faults frequently leave her without power.
Living with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and a seizure condition requiring medication, the instability and poor living conditions are having a serious impact on her health. She has experienced five seizures in the past two weeks. Her Chihuahua, a registered service dog, provides essential emotional support and assistance during seizures. Any support to help improve her living conditions and provide stability would be greatly appreciated.
