Laptop

A PhD student in the final year of their studies requires a laptop for both academic and personal use. As they will soon be required to return their university-issued computer, they need access to a device to complete job applications, submit exhibition applications, and use software such as Photoshop. The laptop would also be shared with their child to support their educational studies.

The student is a sole parent of three children and currently receives a Carer Payment. They are undertaking their PhD full-time and rely on a stipend as their primary source of income. Due to their financial circumstances and the ongoing cost-of-living pressures associated with supporting a family, they are unable to afford the purchase of a laptop or manage loan repayments. Assistance with obtaining a laptop would significantly support both their academic transition and their family's educational needs.
