Domestic & Family Violence
We are seeking support to fund three sewing machines for a new sewing group with the teen and young mums at our centre. We support young mothers experiencing isolation, financial hardship, and other challenges, creating a safe space to build connection, confidence, and practical skills.
The group will deliver social impact projects including sustainable sanitary items for women in need, stuffed toys for children entering foster care, reusable shopping bags for Foodbank and repairing new clothing donated through our partnership with Thread Together
Giving mums the opportunity to learn skills in a supportive, non-judgemental environment while giving back to their community. For many, this is a first step toward confidence, volunteering, social enterprise, or employment.
This project is about more than sewing—it’s about connection, purpose, and empowering young women to create meaningful change.
