This individual has endured unimaginable hardship since the devastating flood that claimed the life of his father — the owner of their family property.
This person is paraplegic and lived in a small home on the same property and is struggling to get the funds to rebuild his home so that it is habitable again. This individual has suffered many stresses and struggles; the floods left his dwelling completely uninhabitable. Since then, his family has been navigating their grief and the complex legal process of probate. Although that process is now finalised and the property has passed to the children, they have inherited significant expenses including large council rates and repairs.
Hardware vouchers would make a tremendous difference for this individual who have engaged in community support to help rebuild. Helping them purchase essential materials to restore safety, privacy, and basic living conditions. Even small contributions will help rebuild not just a house, but a home.
