This family is headed by a resiliant Aboriginal single mother of four children who is currently experiencing a high-risk pregnancy and preparing for the arrival of her fifth child in approximately three months. The family is living in a three-bedroom public housing property that no longer meets their needs, with one child currently sleeping in the lounge room while they wait for a larger home to become available.
The client is a valued member of her small community and regularly volunteers her time supporting students with additional needs at the local primary school. Despite significant challenges, she remains committed to helping others.
The family is also managing housing maintenance concerns and transport difficulties following the breakdown of the client's vehicle. Believing she would not have any more children, the client previously gave away all baby items and is now seeking assistance to obtain essential baby equipment and supplies before the arrival of her newborn.
