Resilient mother of 6 (4 teenagers) has worked really hard to establish normalcy and new life for family. Family has relocated to have more affordable living circumstances and geographic space from risk.
Previously child support had been provided informally, however due to this being used to cause further emotional harm/ exercise financial control - mum has now gone through formal avenues to seek child support without needing to talk to children's father. As this is still in progress and dad is refusing to pay money in the interim - finances are extremely limited.
A car breakdown has led to even more significant financial strain. Family now more isolated on island with dependence on public transport on mainland for school, appointments, groceries.
