We are seeking support for a vulnerable refugee family who have recently relocated to Canberra in search of safety, stability, and a fresh start for their children.
The family experienced ongoing racism and bullying in their previous community, significantly impacting their emotional wellbeing and the children’s ability to focus at school. The father, a skilled hairdresser in his home country, is currently seeking employment while the family rebuilds their lives in Australia.
The family are grateful to have secured a rental property in Canberra; however, the home currently lacks essential kitchen items and adequate heating, making daily living difficult during the colder months.
They are actively engaging with support services, housing assistance, and employment pathways. Any support would greatly help provide comfort, dignity, and stability as they settle into their new home.
