this lovely family manage on a low income and have been homeless, couch surfing for several years. They are now living in transitional housing whilst waiting on permanent government housing. This couple have 6 children in their care including a niece and nephew who came to live with them after their mother died 14 months ago. The family face ongoing financial hardship due mainly to the constant pressure of the day to day living expenses. In addition to this two of the younger children have symptoms/ issues that need to be investigated. One of the children has been referred to a pediatrician. The initial appointment to see this doctor will cost them $600. No doubt there will be ongoing costs involved. This family are needing financial support to be able to manage to provide optimum care and support for their children.
