A security camera system is needed to support clients safety and wellbeing following decades of domestic violence and coercive control. Due to ongoing psychological trauma, she remains in a heightened state of distress and anxiety and struggles to feel safe within her home, particularly at night. Her psychologist and social workers have recommended a simple and easy-to-use security system with cameras and an alarm to help improve her sense of safety and provide reassurance when she is at home or away from the property. A system that records footage for evidence purposes and does not require ongoing subscription costs has been recommended, as she has limited financial capacity and is not highly technical. A self-installing system, such as the Eufy 4-Camera Wi‑Fi Security System, would provide live monitoring through a phone app and record movement around the property.

55 year old woman is rebuilding her life after experiencing long-term domestic and family violence, including severe coercive control throughout a 25-year marriage. Her former partner was subject to a five-year Domestic Violence Order, which he recently breached, resulting in a higher-level protection order.
She experienced ongoing emotional, psychological, and financial abuse, social isolation, and controlling behaviour that restricted her independence and contact with family and friends. Her former partner controlled finances and accounts, leaving her with significant debt incurred in her name without her knowledge.
She is currently living with three of her five children, including one teenager, and is supporting one of her adult children’s partners who has no safe family home. She is relying on an older unreliable vehicle while working to rebuild safety and stability for her family.
Any support that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
