Recipient story

First Nations parent facing housing, health and transport barriers while supporting a child with disability to attend school.
Other hardship(s)
First Nations Support
A First Nations parent is currently navigating a number of complex challenges while caring for a child with disability. The family is experiencing housing uncertainty and is awaiting a transfer to a more stable and suitable home, with support from child protection services.
The combined pressures of housing instability, health recovery, caregiving responsibilities, and transport barriers are placing considerable strain on the family. Recent health concerns have further impacted the parent’s capacity to maintain consistent routines and meet day-to-day needs.
Ongoing financial pressure is making it increasingly difficult for the family to manage essential living costs and support regular school attendance. Assistance during this time would help stabilise the family’s circumstances and support the child to remain connected to their education.

How it's helped before

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.

Thank you for your generous gesture & much needed support GIVIT.
