Single mother of four children who has experienced significant DV and homelessness has recently been approved for a property through the Department of Housing after living in accommodation supported by an organisation. While securing stable housing is a significant step forward for her family, she currently has no furniture or essential household items to help make the property safe, functional, and comfortable for herself and her children. All four children have complex needs, with two children currently receiving support through the NDIS. Establishing a stable and nurturing home environment is particularly important for this family to support the children’s wellbeing, development, and sense of security.
