Chronically ill woman, lost all in 2022 floods, faces worsening health and urgently needs a CPAP machine

This woman lives with severe Complex Trauma and permanent spinal injuries caused by years of work in aged care while caring for others. Chronic pain and limited mobility affect her daily life, yet she continues to engage in supports/ therapy and recovery as best she can.
The 2022 Lismore floods were devastating. She lost her home overnight, triggering a serious mental health crisis/ suicidality that required hospitalisation and specialised supported accommodation. After a long period of instability and displacement, she eventually secured a private rental where she now lives with her adult son, who also has a disability.
Living on the Disability Support Pension while paying private rent, her health continues to decline. She urgently needs a CPAP machine to help her breathe and sleep safely but cannot afford one. She rarely asks for help, and this support would provide dignity, stability, and essential rest as she continues to recover from the lasting impact of the floods.
