This young man is trying hard to build an independent life for himself after experiencing long-term hardship including removal from family, and being the victim of family violence and childhood sexual violence. He has budgeted his fortnightly pay to afford rent, however a recent injury to his hand has prevented him from attending working as a landscaper and so he is needing some financial relief to pay for groceries. Due to his limited income, he is at risk of eviction if he doesn't prioritise his whole pay to rent, but this leaves him without food.
