Nan and pop were looking at a life of retirement when their world changed for good.
They now were going through the court process to have their 2 grandchildren placed in their full time care.
Pop was forced to go back to work as an electrician due to not receiving any government assistance for the children.
Nan and pop have spent most of their superannuation on court fees to make sure the children were kept out of the system and away from their past life of domestic violence and drug abuse.
Nan and pop are struggling to make ends meet and as the children grow so do their needs.
Nan does not go out unless pop is with her as the children biological parents stalk and intimidate nan.
Nan and Pop are classed as full time Kinship Carers caring for their grandchildren but due to them acting before the children were removed by the government, the child protection system deems the children as safe.
Nan and Pop have used their saving to fight for these children.
