Suitable footwear required for disabled 56 year old with severe lower limb issues.
A client suffered a motorcycle accident 20 years ago which affected his mobility, health and housing. The client when able continued to work but increasingly developed a dependent on alcohol and pain medications. As he became older his issues become worse and all aspects of his health suffered. He lost the ability to work due to his damaged leg and mobility issues which led him into homelessness, alcohol rehab and recovery. He is 3 years sober recently and is pro-active with AA meetings and supports. He continues to await for specialist appointments / review but lives with a lot of pain. He was gifted a pair of Saucony trainers several months ago which he suggested are the best shoe he has owned in terms of assisting his pain issues as he travels to various meetings across the city. He cannot afford these trainers himself and I am hoping that someone will agree to purchase a pair or assist with financial assistance.
