Flood-affected family (2x elderly, 1 x adult, 1 x toddler) living in partially repaired home 3+ years after unprecedented flood inundated the home. Family is experiencing financial hardship, and significant mental and physical health difficulties.
Missed out on all gov supports that would improve safety at their home, its a brick home cant be raised (no raise or buyback).
House is now uninsurable for them cost jumping to over $16k p.a.
Finalising repairs on elderly parents home - Physical and Mental health both deteriorating trying to get things finished with no money and donated flooring materials
Adult son home RHP repair not yet started but will happen throughout 2026 so he can move out of their home after over 4 years since flood
