Client has recently found housing after being homeless for many years, however, has very limited resources
My client is experiencing homelessness and has very limited access to basic necessities, making it difficult to care for herself or maintain daily stability. Without a safe way to prepare food, warm drinks, or manage essential daily tasks, simple routines become stressful and emotionally challenging. Providing a kettle, toaster, and iron would allow her to make hot drinks, toast, simple meals, and keep her clothing clean and presentable, helping her stay nourished, grounded, and safe while managing trauma, mental‑health challenges, and unstable accommodation. She is actively engaging in counselling and mental‑health support, and reducing daily stressors would help her conserve energy for her wellbeing and ongoing recovery. These essential items would support her comfort, routine, and sense of control, strengthening her ability to work toward stability, confidence, and independent living during this difficult period.
