New rural fencing materials are required to support the ongoing recovery of bushfire-affected farming properties. Suitable donations include: Steel star pickets (black or galvanised) High-tensile plain fencing wire (2.5mm) Ringlock stock fencing Gripple wire joiners and tensioning packs Quality products from recognised rural fencing suppliers such as Waratah or equivalent are preferred to ensure compatibility with existing fencing systems and to maximise the longevity of repairs. All donated materials will be distributed to eligible fire-affected landholders through the local community recovery program.

2026 Victoria Bushfires
Six months after a devastating bushfire, many rural landowners are still rebuilding their properties and livelihoods. While the immediate emergency has passed, recovery is far from over.

Hundreds of kilometers of fencing were destroyed, leaving farms without secure boundaries for livestock, wildlife management, and daily farming operations. For many families, the cost of rebuilding continues to place enormous pressure on already stretched budgets as they recover from the loss of homes, sheds, machinery, and income.

The local community recovery hub continues to coordinate practical support, working alongside volunteers, community organisations and landholders to help people rebuild safely and return properties to productive use.

Every donation helps strengthen the resilience of this rural community, supporting farming families as they move beyond disaster recovery towards a more secure future.
