A volunteer who donates three days a week of his time to volunteer at a neighborhood centre whilst navigating homelessness himself, has finally found a stable, safe home. He is needing extra support to furnish the space.
Five years ago, he escaped from a violent relationship and was put into temporary accommodation, where he was again violently assaulted by someone experiencing a mental health episode. His back was broken during the assault and he lives with ongoing pain that affects him to this day. This pain stops him from holding down a traditional job, which impacts his financial independence, keeping him entrenched in homelessness.
Now that he finally has a home, he is able to heal and rebuild. He is starting from scratch, and will need everything needed to set up a comfy home.
He gives selflessly and is a valuable asset to his community. It would be amazing to see the love he shares returned.
