This single dad and his two sons are currently living in crisis accommodation after a traumatic family incident left them homeless. Dad is now parenting on his own while trying to rebuild their lives, find stable housing, and look for work.
His eldest son missed nearly six months of school due to the family’s circumstances and trauma they experienced. He has recently returned to school and started high school, but is already behind in his learning.
The school is currently loaning him a laptop, however this is only temporary. He needs reliable access to a laptop for schoolwork, homework, and staying engaged with his education. Without one, there is a real risk he will fall further behind.
Dad is doing everything he can to support his children, but purchasing a laptop is beyond the family’s means right now. A laptop would give this young person the opportunity to catch up, stay connected to school, and continue rebuilding confidence and stability after all the family have been through
