This request is for a resilient 16-year-old First Nations young man from the Fitzroy Valley who has experienced significant family loss. Despite these challenges, he has found hope and healing through music.
A gifted musician, he writes and performs his own songs, often sharing them around the campfire at Marra Worra Worra's Night Space. Music allows him to express his emotions, build confidence and connect with trusted mentors and other young people in a safe, supportive environment.
Owning his own guitar would be life-changing. It would give him the opportunity to continue writing, practising and developing his talent outside of Night Space, while providing a positive outlet for his emotions and wellbeing. A guitar is more than an instrument—it is a pathway to healing, creativity and hope for a young man with enormous potential.
