46 year old community member has been left in unstable tenancy after 2022 Flood. The property where he rents is being acquired by the Government after buy back from the owner. He is an amazing and resourceful man that is involved in the community a give time to charities as well as working as a disability support worker. He has been given short notice for his need to vacate the property which the former owner had originally planned to gift to him due to his need and tireless work with community projects and charities. He has been an advocate and support for others throughout the flood recovery and now finds himself in need. He has reached a point where he can no longer stay in Lismore and is moving to Melbourne where he will be closer to supports and have distance from the Flood Event to help with his recovery from the disaster. He has faced significant health challenges and has been unable to work over the past 4 months. His financial situation is hampering his need to relocate.
