Recipient story
Many participants have lived through floods, bushfires and other disasters. Research suggests flow arts can support trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing and resilience. The gathering provides a safe, welcoming space where people connect, learn new skills, build confidence and feel part of a supportive community.
People experiencing isolation have formed friendships, rebuilt confidence and found a sense of belonging. There are few free opportunities for regular community connection like this in the area. The organiser has self-funded the gatherings for the past year, but growing attendance means this is no longer sustainable.
Support is needed to keep this important community lifeline free and accessible.
