A 32-year-old mother of two is working hard to rebuild her life after leaving a violent relationship. What should be a time of stability and healing has instead become a period of overwhelming pressure and uncertainty. After making the difficult and courageous decision to leave, she has been navigating the emotional and practical impacts of family and property matters, while also trying to create a safe and secure environment for her children.
Since separating, she has received no financial support from her former partner, leaving her solely responsible for all household expenses. The sudden loss of income, combined with ongoing legal and living costs, has placed her under significant financial strain. At the same time, the trauma of family domestic violence has had a serious impact on her mental health. She has experienced anxiety, stress, and emotional exhaustion, all of which have made it more difficult to maintain consistent work hours and financial stability
