The department are currently working with a family of 5, including 5 year old twins and a 7 month old baby. The twin boys have a diagnosis of autism, and baby has multiple medical needs including congenital hert disease. The family are struggling to manage all of the appoinments and medical needs of the children. They are suffering from extreme financial hardship as dad has been unable to work so he can stay home and assist with transporting and attending appointments for the children. Mum does not speak english and does not drive leading her to be isolated from accessing any local supports. This family is working to improve home life for the children and have requested some toys and a motorised baby swing/seat. Mum is always holding baby as he is regularly unsettled needing comforting, but he is now getting bigger and this is becoming too difficult for her. Any help is much appreciated.
