We are seeking support for a single mother and her young son who were forced to leave their home due to domestic and family violence. They had to relocate urgently and were unable to take any of their belongings with them. After a very difficult period of uncertainty, they have recently secured transitional housing, and her son has just been enrolled in a new school.
Her son would really benefit from having a desk for his bedroom, so he has a quiet, dedicated space to do his schoolwork. Having something that is his own is important for his sense of stability, routine, and wellbeing as he adjusts to a new home and school after significant upheaval.
Any support with a suitable child’s desk would make a meaningful difference for this family as they rebuild their lives and create a safe, supportive environment for learning and recovery.
