This Christmas, I hope to gift women living in Fitzroy Crossing with durable, good-quality sandals. Many women in this remote community have limited access to reliable footwear. Local stores often carry few options, and what’s available is usually expensive or not built to last in the hot, rugged conditions. Proper sandals would provide protection, comfort, and confidence for women who spend much of their day on their feet, walking between homes, workplaces, and community areas. This small, practical gift can make a big difference in everyday life, helping to prevent foot pain, cuts, and discomfort. It’s a way to support wellbeing, ease daily challenges, and share something useful with women who give so much to their families and community.
