Tenant with a disability given 10 minutes to evacuate and lost everything in the fires
2026 Victoria Bushfires
Tenant in the Murrindindi shire was given only 10 minutes notice to evacuate her home. She was able to save her pet dog and quickly evacuate. The tenant evacuated in only slippers and pyjamas. and has subsequently lost all her possessions in the fires which ravaged her town. Tenant is staying in a risky arrangement with possible domestic violence until housing is approved. She is on limited income via Centrelink and could use some clothing and basics to restart her recovery journey.
