A young family is navigating the physical, emotional and financial impact of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Earlier this year, mum was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer at just 40 years old. She has since completed six rounds of chemotherapy and undergone a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Her treatment continues with immunotherapy, hormone therapy resulting in medically induced menopause, and three weeks of daily radiation.
Due to the risk of infection, she has had to stop working, placing added financial pressure on the family. With two school-aged children and a partner who works away, everyday life has become increasingly challenging.
Support will help ease the burden, allowing this family to focus on treatment, recovery and spending valuable time together during this incredibly difficult chapter.
