I am writing in support of my client, a 63-year-old First Nations woman living with schizophrenia and multiple chronic physical health conditions.
Due to her age, complex health needs, and limited financial capacity, she is unable to replace essential household furniture. A recent home visit identified that her bedding is old, ripped, and no longer hygienic, while her furniture is heavily worn and unsuitable for safe daily use.
We are seeking assistance with essential items including new bedding (mattress protector, sheets, pillows, and blanket), a small two-seat dining table, and a small lounge or two single sofas.
These basic household items will improve her safety, comfort, sleep quality, physical and mental wellbeing, and help her maintain her tenancy and independence. Your support would make a significant difference to her health, dignity, and quality of life.
