This family is facing significant and ongoing hardship. A single mother is raising three children with additional needs, all of whom require constant care, advocacy, and support. Providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for her children is her highest priority, yet the demands of caregiving are considerable and relentless.
In addition to caring for her children, the mother is managing her own mental health challenges, which have been compounded by the impacts of intergenerational trauma and years of ongoing stress. With very limited informal support and a small support network, she carries the responsibility of meeting her children's complex needs largely on her own.
