After living close to established supports, services, and community connections for more than 10 years, the move has resulted in significant social isolation for both the client and their child, with impacts on their mental health and overall wellbeing.
The family's financial situation has been further strained by the higher cost of living in a remote community, including increased prices for food and essential goods at the local grocery store, as well as substantial fuel costs required to access services and maintain community connections.
