This woman is living with declining health and increasing mobility challenges that are significantly impacting her daily life. While she owns her home, it is not fully accessible, and she cannot afford necessary modifications like changing bench heights to support her changing needs. As a result, everyday tasks such as moving safely around her home and preparing meals have become difficult and painful. She plays an important role in her family by caring for her grandchildren, however her current mobility limitations are reducing her ability to maintain these meaningful connections. An unsuitable wheelchair causes pain and discomfort, limiting mobility. This has led to her spending long periods in bed, contributing to declining physical wellbeing and increasing isolation. Without appropriate mobility support, her ability to stay connected to family, access community supports, and maintain independence is at risk. Support will help restore dignity, safety and quality of life.
